Musical Director and pianist on the legendary Side by Side by Sondheim, with Millicent Martin, Julia McKenzie, David Kernan and Ned Sherrin, Tim was Musical Director for many West End shows including the award winning On Your Toes with Tim Flavin and Natalja Makarova, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Aspects of Love with Sarah Brightman, Kiss Me Kate with Nichola McAuliffe, Paul Jones and Tim Flavin, and the European premiere of Nine at the Royal Festival Hall with Liliane Montevecchi, Jonathan Price, Ann Crumb, Anita Dobson and Meg Johnson. To see rare footage of this famous event, click here. Tim was London Music Director for the RSC at the Barbican and conducted The Mikado and HMS Pinafore for D'Oyly Carte Opera at the Savoy.
Tim was to conduct Nine again for a six month run at the Theater des Westens in Berlin. He remained in Germany and conducted Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges at the Stadttheater in Gießen, and the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonie regularly as guest.

Timothy Higgs
Timothy Higgs is a lyricist, composer, conductor and musical director. He is the father of web designer Jonathan Higgs, of the composer Andrew Higgs and the film director David Higgs. He has three other children, Katherine, Christopher and Michael. His sister is the voice coach, composer, producer and director Jessica Higgs. Tim is a lifelong supporter of the Labour party.
